Can Arab students integrate into Turkish schools? My experience...

 

Integration is not that simple, as it doesn’t only mean learning the language perfectly, but also, accepting the differences in cultures.

my personal experience and all of the new coming Arabs to Turkey from my neighbors and my friends was successful and fruitful, but at the same time it was not that easy. The first school day was very stressful, as the students show on their first day to a new school, new colleagues, new staff who speak a completely new language, but the love and containment by the Turkish school was an important factor to accelerate integration. In addition to that taking proactive steps from the family; through attending language courses, as a start, then supportive classes for the school curriculum, concerned to explain the terminology used in the various materials. So amazing how   they speak Turkish fluently even before the end of their first year
